2023 Energy Fair

An Energy Fair is planned for Saturday, March 25th 2023 to showcase alternative energy generation and storage options for Stonington residents and business owners.  Speakers, vendors and financial experts will cover investing in resilience technology, and maximizing the economic incentives available from various government programs. 

This fair will be an informative and fun event that will introduce a variety of new and new-ish products related to clean energy.  It will feature vendors of “clean” or “alternative” energy products including solar, geothermal, heat pumps, battery storage units, EVs, and a variety of new products with the potential to lead our community into a clean energy future. There will be speakers who are energy experts at the state and regional levels  The Energy Fair will also feature panels of Stonington business people and residents who have already installed clean energy applications on their property.

A focus will be on the affordability and practicality of the products, given new energy incentives subsidized by the state and federal government. The event will help attendees understand the cost-savings of various innovative applications that can be implemented.  There will be displays and representatives of select energy vendors both commercial and residential, who are active in Stonington. The Energy Fair will be held at the Mystic Aquarium Research Center in Mystic. 

The Energy Fair is being organized by the Stonington Climate Change Taskforce and the Economic Development Commission who are inviting expressions of interest from alternative energy vendors and installers who are interested in being invited to participate in the fair for a nominal fee that will go towards promoting the event.
